What Causes Elevated WBC And Neutrophils Count During Pregnancy?

Hi, I just got some blood results back and they show a high white blood cells and neutrophils count. I am 26 weeks pregnant. But I am feeling fine. What could that be? I am 33 years old, weight is 53 kilos now, 1,65 m height and no medical history of note.

Hello dear ,I understand your concern. In my opinion the elevated WBC and neutrophils is a normal physiological change seen in pregnancy under the influence of pregnancy
hormones. The WBC elevation upto 15000-20000 is normal during pregnancy. So dont worry about the elevated counts unless you have any symptoms of infection like fever.Relax.Take adequate fluids upto 3 litres to prevent urinary infections.
