What Causes Elevated ESR Level Despite Taking Treatment For Typhoid?

Hi Doctor I was diagnosed with typhoid last month. Typhi O &H were at 1:40 with ESR count at 1hr 60. I was given antibiotics. Yesterday I had shivering and fever. I had my blood test taken. Now my test results say ESR 80 at 1hr and Typhi O& H at 1:80. Please let me know why this happened again after taking treatment and why does ESR count is high.

you are probably suffering from chronic typhoid problem where the bacteria wasnt eliminated because the drug regimen wasnt very effective.the bacteria reside in gall bladder and reinfects again. you need a good antibiotic and need to complete entire course this time without fail. avoid outside foods from restaurants.they are also the common source of infection.
