What Causes Elevated ALT Level In Blood?

Hi. My ALT level are being tested once a month. The first time it was 60, then 72 and now 91... my doctor is not doing anything to help solve the solution. I don t really drink a whole lot. Maybe a few drinks once a month. He checked for hep and that came back negative. Any other ideas of what it could be?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Asymptomatic mild increase in ALT values is not of any significance until you have associated other complains or on drugs. You can repeat it after 1 month but nothing to worry if you have no symptoms.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Iven Romic Rommstein, General Surgeon
