Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
It began with a light ear ache, now I have pressure in my left temple and occasional eye twitches. This has occured over the last few days. The pressure isn t painful, very dull. I don t have any nasal drainage but I do have drainage into my throat that s causing a tickle and coughing. Does this sound like a Sinus infection or am I dying from a brain tumor? lol
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of earache and pressure in the temple which seems to be due to upper respiratory tract infection that has spread to ear through Eustachian tube leading to dysfunctioning.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you to apply dry warm compresses on external ear. Do warm saline gargles and consult ENT specialist for proper checkup. Doctor may order blood tests and throat swab tests along with ear examination by otoscope. Doctor may prescribe antibiotics like gentamycin along with anti inflammatory medications.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
