General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi I am Dr. Shreyash Mehta, MD Community Medicine.

You told that you had severe earache Wednesday night. You were diagnosed with otitis media, sinusitis accompanied by dehydration and syncope.

You were prescribed Penicillin V 500mg and Ciprofloxacin ear drops.

Sir, did you complete the course of antibiotics. It is to be taken 3 times a day for 5 days. The result will be gradual.

You can take tab.paracetamol 500 mg to counter pain. You can even take a combination of Paracetamol 500 mg + Phenylephrine Hcl 5 mg+ Chlorpheniramine maleate 2mg.

You should take rest, avoid cold and travel.

If you think there is worsening of the earache and there is increased hearing loss you can take second opinion for other physician or ear surgeon.

Your ear examination is a must for any change in modality of treatment
