What Causes Ear Ache And Smelling Burning Scent?

I recently had my adenoids taken out, they had grown back from having them out at a young age. I was getting bad ear aches which is how I knew they had grown back but the ache has continued and I have other signs pointing towards a brain tumor. My balance has changed and gotten worse, I also today starting smelling a burning scent even though there was nothing burning. What does this mean?
