Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I went in for an Angiogram but it took the doctor a long time to find the artery and then the dye would not flow with the blood and the test was cancelled without result. What might the cause be of the dye not being able to flow as I understand is the case in most Angiograms?
HI, WELCOME TO HCM. INABILITY OF THE CONTRAST TO FLOW THROUGH THE THE BLOOD VESSELS COULD BE DUE TO ABERRANT BLOOD VESSELS,TOTAL OCCLUSION,BLOCKADE IN THE VASCULAR CATHETER,CONTRAST FLUID VARIATIONS . CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR FOR FURTHER ASSISTANCE. THANK YOU
