What Causes Dull Stabbing Pain In Abdomen After A Gall Bladder Surgery?
I had gallbladder surgery almost 2 months ago and at first it relieved my pain but now its back. From my upper abdomen, wrapped around my left side to my back I have a dull, stabbing pain. I have noticed that my skin has a yellow tint to it and sometimes I will become very dizzy and faint and my heart will race. Im not sure what it is can you help?
Post cholecystectomy pain may be due to stones in common bile duct OR increased fat intake OR functional pain. You need further evaluation.
Advice:
- get an ultrasound (abdomen) to rule out any stone remnants in common bile duct - also get a complete blood cell count (CBC) test - avoid OILY food altogether - You may need to take nexium/pantocid 40 mg once daily before breakfast for 4 to 8 weeks and then visit a gastroenterologist if no relief - avoid eating stomach full and mouth full - avoid spicy food
Hope I have answered your query. Further queries are welcome.
Wish you good health.
Regards, Dr Tayyab Malik
