What Causes Dryness In The Vagina?
I am 44 years old and over the last month or so my vagina has become a lot drier. Even during sex I dont get as wet as I usually do. It is also less mucus like and thinner in texture with a slightly chalky feel to it. Is this simply the onset of menopause or could it be a STD

Hi, I think it is the onset of menopause. You may stop getting the periods in few months. The estrogen level becomes low due to decreased ovarian function and thus there is dryness of vagina. You can use some local estrogen cream. Hope I have answered your question.
