What Causes Dryness In The Throat And Difficulty In Swallowing?

For a for a number of months I have had a feeling at the back of my throat that is hard to describe, sort of like dryness, but not painful. It seems to be with me all the time. Should I be concerned? I seem to have no difficulty swallowing, have no cough, and no hoarseness! I don t want to run to my doctor over every little thing, so would like your opinion please. I am a 68 year old female with no other health issues other than dry skin! Thank you!

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, if this is the symptoms of swallowing difficulty then the first possibility would be GERD (Gastro Esophageal Reflux Disease) and hyperacidity could be the cause if I would be doctor of this case then I would treat this case with Tab Omeprazole 40 mg once in day at evening time for six week, avoid taking heavy and spicy meal prior to bed, avoid, smoking, alcohol also hope this information helps.
I find this answer helpful
