Hello,

I can understand your concern. Many patients suffer from lack of saliva and dry mouth while suffering from dermatitis herpetiformis.

You can start taking Pilocarine which is available over the counter and it stimulares salivary flow for 4-5 hours. In addition, you can suck on sugarless candies, try different spices and use lozenges.

If the problem is too severe then you should see the doctor who is treating you for skin problems and discuss of any side effects of the medicine can be causing you any problem of dry mouth.

I hope this information helps you. Thank you for choosing HealthcareMagic. I wish you feel better soon.

Best,
Dr. Viraj Shah
