What Causes Dry Throat Along With Anxiety?

Yes thank you. I have a extremely dry throat and I am getting anxiety from this issue. Can not sleep. Was sick for 5 weeks with a post nasal drip and dry throat. At one point could not swallow and breath at same time. Went to dr at 5th week she prescribed a stronger nexium. I have not taken it bc I don t think that is my problem. About 1 hour ago I used nose drops 3 in each side of mucinex. Took 1 Advil and Vicks drinking hot water and gargles with salt Still dry pls help.

Hello,

I think your problems with dried nose and mouth comes as a result of prolonged (5 weeks) infection and inflammation you just had. Also, the usage of antihistamines and decongestants has caused this dryness.

You should help yourself using steamy environment, and vaporisation uses saline irrigation and drink lots of water and have soups. I think you should give more time to the mucosal lining to regenerate.
