What Causes Dry Skin Patches On The Inner Thigh Area?

Hi I have dry skin patches on my inner thigh, buttocks, and around my hip bone. There s approximately 4 or 5 varying in size. They re in the shape of a ring. They do not itch at all and feel like patches of dry skin. They don t affect me at all other than their appearance and their odd appearance. Would you happen to know what this could be? After doing research online, I suspect pityriasis rosea becuase I know that ring worm is most definitely itchy as well as eczema. Let me know what you think! Thank you for your time.

Hi Dear,

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of dry skin patches on the inner thigh area which seems contact dermatitis and heat rash. In this condition the symptoms like peeling of skin and dry patches become prominent . I would suggest you to wash thigh area with cold water. Apply cold compresses 2-3 times a day. Take antihistamine drug like benadryl. Apply vitamin C serum at night. You should wear cotton clothes and avoid itching and pricking rashes. If condition doesn't improve in a week then consult dermatologist for proper examination . Doctor may prescribe steroid ointment and retinoids .
