What Causes Dry Red Patches On The Face, Neck And Eyelids?

My daughter is having issues with recurring dry, red, hot patches on her neck, under eyes, eye lids, and random spots, around her face. We have been to the dermatologist and allergy specialist and are really out of options. Please help. She has tried many prescription dry skin ointments but nothing helps and they burn. What does sooth it is coconut oil and Vaseline. She s been allergy tested for chemicals and environmental and is allergic to cats, and pollens, grasses and aluminum. Its just crazy how she has such a bad reaction to what ever it is once every month or so. Do you have any insight? Or advice as to what other kindof doctor to take her to? It is very painful for her. She said it feels like having a very tight facial mask on without being able to wash it off.

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hello,

As per your case history of irritant dermatitis, my treatment advice is -
1. Avoid sun exposure and use a good sunscreen lotion with SPF more than 30.
2. Apply a mild antibiotic cream like fusiderm cream twice daily on it.
3. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetrizine twice daily for 7-10 days.

If the problem persists then consult a dermatologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Harshit Bhachech
