What Causes Dry Red Itchy Pimples On Thighs, Buttocks, Arms And Fingers?
Hi, I am suffering from the following skin problem since 1 month. 1. Area near my waist becomes extreamly itchy..mostly during evening and night. When i try to scratch them they tear up my skin and has formed black patches around my waist. 2. During evening and night time i am feeling extream itching sensation under my thighs, buttocks, arms, wrist, fingers. I get huge number of small small pimples on these parts and after itching the area becomes dry and red. 3. Previously the itching was only confined to my waist and feet.. but now it has spread on my whole body.

As per my clinical experience, the red itchy pimples on thigh, buttocks, arms and fingers indicate possibility of dermatitis following hypersensitivity to particular antigen as cloth fabric, dust, pollen, animal dander or others. Till you get the confirmatory diagnosis with the expert dermatologist, following measures will help you:
- Keep the parts clean with antiseptic liquid or soap
- Regular bathing
- Wear loose, clean, cotton inner-wears
- Control of blood sugar
- Llocal application of calamine lotion
- Avoid prolong or heavy sun exposure
- Do not smoke if consuming
- balanced nutritious diet to combat the immunity
- Anti histamine medications as diphenhydramine, cetirizine or others
- Prophylactic antibiotics if needed to prevent secondary bacterial infection
- Anti-viral medications in selected cases
- Systemic steroids or IM shots in acute phase of allergic eruptions
