Dry mouth and dry lips with a feeling of optimum saliva is normally seen due to certain conditions like oral fungal infection or thrush,when you take certain medication or you breathe through mouth.. These conditions can create an impression of dryness in mouth even when saliva production is not reduced.. So my suggestion is to consult an Oral Physician and discuss with him/her. Treating the cause will improve the symptoms.. Try to breathe through nose and not through mouth, get checked for any white coating on tongue or any other abnormal findings in mouth.. For temporary relief of the symptoms start chewing sugar free chewing gum, suck lemon drops and gargle with Biotene mouthwash. Mouth lubricants can also be used.. Apply petroleum jelly over the lips to soothe the dryness.. Hope this helps..
