What Causes Drowsiness While On Amlodipine Besylate?
Amlodipine Besylate Tabs I am taking this med for 8 weks and am suffering severe drowsiness. Should I stop until I consult with a cardiologist. I have suffered a severe Mi and undergone a single cardio bypass surgery. I also suffer from hypertension. Thanks, Dean

As you mentioned you are taking amlodipine and its sidr effect is concern,yeah it cause the drowsiness,vertigo and dizziness.
you must consult your doctor either to switch off or dose adjustment.
in younger agre group ACEI is the first choice in older Ca channel blocker ccording to guide line these may be used 1st or 2nd line or combination therapy according to BP controll and comorbid diseases.
