What Causes Double Vision While Reading Or Working At A Computer?

My vision has been giving me problems for more than a year now. I have been to an eye doctor and they said everything is normal, but when I am using the computer or reading my eyes start crossing and things get a little blurry and I have to blink to bring them back into focus. What should my next steps be?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

When the ophthalmic evaluation is normal, that suggests there is more straining to the eye. Follow simple guidelines to get better

@ Do not continuously work for more than 40-50 minutes at a time on computer
@ Expose yourself to greenery or fresh air environment intermittently when doing computer work
@ Do splashing of the eyes with cold water with or without applying ice pack over the eyes for 5-10 minutes each during the working hours.
@ Keep your BP and blood sugar under control.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
