What Causes Dizzy Spells With Blurred Visions?

For the past 2 years my 13 year old boy gets dizzy spells up to 3-5 times a day and fell yesterday because it was so bad. He said his vision was blurred and then got black and he passed out. He can be sitting a his desk at school and then gets up and get dizzy. Is this normal?

first subject your son for complete eye examination, including refraction, fundus examination. might be he is having refractory problem. if so it should be corrected.
