What Causes Dizziness?

Hello. For the past 6 months i have been feeling very dizzy. I have gone to the emergency room and they said that I probably have Marfans Syndrome. I am sure that is not the case. I often feel in a dream like state and I have developed OCD and Depression due to this. I am dizzy from the moment I wake up to the moment I fall asleep. I think I may have Vertigo, but then why would i be having all these mental changes? Do you have a clue to what might be wrong?

Hi,

First of all, you should measure your blood pressure and if it were high, you should take medical treatment, do lipid profile in the blood, decrease salt and fat intake, besides doing an ECG and an ECHO on your heart. The hormonal therapy for women such as oral contraceptive pills or the replacement therapy can cause dizziness, so you should ask a gynecologist for help.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mustafa, Neurologist
