Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My son is 21 and healthy. He came to me last night feeling dizzy and nearly passed out. When he felt a bit better, I took his BP. It was 116/53. THat seems low.Could that have triggered the dizziness? He seemed to be fine after he ate CHerrios with bananas and sugar.
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, the dizziness may not be significant because no associated history is there even the blood pressure may not be the cause, the most common cause at this age is hypoglycemia, if this is being happened first time still condition needs to be kept under observation for further episode because it could be let onset of epileptic seizure. Advise:- Ct brain is must, with routine blood work, EKG. hope this information helps.
