Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted your history of having high blood pressure (hypertension), herniated disc at the cervical spine and dizziness which is triggered on lying flat on your back and stays with you after standing up.
You look to have borderline Diabetes too.

The commonest causes of the vertigo is related to to both the factors that you have.
The labile hypertension can cause changes in the blood vessels, which automatically may reduce the blood supply and cause vertigo.
The cervical disc can not cause dizziness directly, but can be due to associated cervical spondilosis or spoindilitis that causes reduced blood supply to the balancing apparatus and cause vertigo.
Thirdly, the reason can be altogether not related to both the above factors but related to inflammation of the vestibular apparatus like due to viral inflammation and so on.
Lastly the tumors related to the hind brain or the vestibule can also cause such a problem.
I would advise you in such a situation the following:
- Consult a Neuro-otologist to have detailed clinical evaluation, examination and investigations as per the findings like MRI of the brain, Ears, cervical spine and so on to find out the reasons and get treated accordingly.
