Hi! Tobacco contains nicotine, which is a very powerful drug and stopping it cold turkey or gradually causes withdrawal symptoms in people. Thus, I would ask you take a very low dose of clonidine to help you out with the withdrawal symptoms of tobacco, some of which can last for years on end. Sleeping pills, most commonly medications like Valium, Xanax can lead to problems that are in the same category as tobacco addiction. Why don't you try a low dose of thoridiazine also called as melleril for sleep? You can quit your current pills and obtain the right amount of sleep without any addiction issues.
