I had Lumbar (L1-L5 on the right side)surgery on September 26th. A couple days afterwards I experienced sever dizziness and spinning of the room. It even spun me around! I had 2 disks removed, repaired and put back as well as cleaning up around the spinal cord. Mentioned this to my doctors nurse practicioner and she said it had nothing to do with the surgery. I m begging to disagree since this is new post surgery and not experienced before. Even though my condition is improving as time goes by, I still am experiencing dizziness when I lay down and turn my head to the right. What can I do to remedy this?
Hello, I have gone through your question and understand your concern. The dizziness is likely to be due to postural vertigo ( Bening paroxysmal positional vertigo). This is not related to spine surgery. Regards Dr D Verma
