What Causes Dizziness During Menstruation?

There s been a couple of different situations that have made me almost faint. One is when I screamed at an event. I felt as if I ran out of breath, (but I was still breathing), then my body felt heavy and I doubled over and grabbed onto someone. Everything went black for a moment but I kept breathing and finally came back and stood straight. The other is during my menstrual cycle. I ve had many moments before and during my period when I feel faint or as if the floor moved. What s going on??

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Because of the blood loss that is occurring during the period, some persons may feel faint or have dizziness which can be worse if the periods are heavy.

Hormonal changes during this time may also contribute to these symptoms.

There are some situations that can sometimes result in decreased blood supply to the brain causing the abnormal sensation that you experienced.

I hope this helps
