What Causes Dizziness During 7th Month Of Pregnancy?

My sister is 7 months pregnant and for the last two or three weeks she has been getting really dizzy to the point were she is unable to walk or drive, and has a hard time hearing out of her right ear and some times spreading to the left ear. These episodes come at any time and are always followed by an headache.

OBGYN 's  Response
The dizziness associated with hard of hearing by one ear and head ache suggests that syndrome is not due to pregnancy. She seems to be having vestibulitis - swelling of the apparatus called as vestibule which is situated in the inner compartment of ear. This apparatus helps in maintaining the balance of the body. Due to its swelling, the body balance is disturbed which is causing nausea and vomiting also. Many a times such swelling is secondary to blockage of a tube which connects middle part of the ear to the throat (Eustachian tube). It may happen due to infection and/or swelling of the throat and/or congestion of the sinuses due to common cold.
This is not a very serious condition provided treated well in time.
Please visit your ENT surgeon. She will probably be given a course of antibiotics with some antihistaminic or steroids to relieve her swelling of the inner ear.
