Implanon must only be removed by a healthcare provider who has been instructed and trained in the Implanon removal technique. It is removed using local anaesthesia so it is not advisable to remove it at your own to prevent possible complications. I advise you to consult the physician at clinic and explain him/her your concerns.
Thank you.
Regards,
Dr. Manan
