What Causes Dizziness And Vertigo After A Spinal Surgery?

I had spinal surgery in December. I had metal plate and screw placed in my spine. 2 months after surgery I started having sever dizzy episodes with stair step vertigo and sweating. These episodes have gotten worse on a daily basis. I never know when they are going to strike. What is going on?
