What Causes Dizziness And Shakes With Increased Heart Rates?
Hi, I get dizzy and the shakes, so bad that i need to sit or else i will pass out. I feel like i want to vomit or dyheria. My heart races like i have run a marathon or someone has scared me. I have been getting sugar cravings this last month or two. I remember feeling these symptoms in my early 20's,.... i am now nearly 40. This has happened to me twice this month and am now getting a little scared. Please help?
I understand your concern and would explain that your symptoms seem to be related to a cardiac arrhythmia.
Anxiety and low blood glucose could also cause this clinical scenario.
I recommend consulting with your attending physician for a careful physical exam and some tests:
- a resting ECG - a chest X ray study - blood lab tests (complete blood count, blood electrolytes, blood fasting glucose). - an ambulatory 24-48 hours ECG monitoring may be needed to examine your heart rhythm trend through the day.
Meanwhile, I recommend you to closely monitor your blood pressure and heart rate and refer them to your doctor.
Hope you will find this answer helpful!
Kind regards,
Dr. Iliri
