Hi, My Mother is suffering dizziness and ringing sound in ear for the past 5 days. One of the local doctor gave medicine saying it could be vertigo. she is been using but ringing and dizziness still persists. Could you help us how can we go ahead for the treatment?
Treatment depends on the diagnosis. The possible causes are:
1. Eustachian tube blockade 2 Middle ear infection 3. Meniere’s disease. 4. Tumors like acoustic neuroma et cetera 5. Pharyngitis 6. Drugs like Aminoglycosides, beta blockers and anti-malignancy drugs 7. Common cold 8. Temporomandibular joint arthritis or abnormalities
Use water vapor inhalation, salt water gargling. Also, use tablet Alday DC twice a day for five days. If symptoms not improved, please consult your ENT specialist, he/she will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
