What Causes Dizziness And Popping Sound In Ear And Nose While Having Tinnitus?

2 years earlier i developed tinnitus from an extreme ear pain in both ears i used to be dizzy as well bv there wasnt any vertigo. 3 months later i developed positional vertigo which occured for seconds on laying down and getting up this episode lated for a month or so. 3-4 more such episodes happened and now for last 1 year i havnt got vertigo. But i do experience unsteadiness and dizziness at times. My hearing in both ear is normal as my audiometry was normal. From last one week i feel as if my hearing goes in and out for a second it happens sometimes in right ear and sometimes in left ear. I have popping and clicking in ear and nose both . And one of my nostrils is always blocked. Recently one day my ear started fluttering i could feel it even. . My tinnitus low in pitch at times and high at other. Its buzzing, ringing, whistling , machine like and what not . I must add i do worry a lot and have axiety at times. Plz tell me what is my problem i will be very thankful. Thank you in advance

Hi Dear ,

As per your query you have dizziness and popping sound in ear and nose along with tinnitus .Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due many reasons like benign paroxysmal positional vertigo, inflammation within the inner ear sometimes due to infection, head injury , certain medications and due to cervical spondylosis, meniere's disease , acoustic neuroma , sinusitis and multiple sclerosis migraines . Sometimes infection spread from upper respiratory track infection to ear through eustachian tube and cause ear infection along with eustachian tube dysfunction . I suggest you to consult with ENT specialist for proper diagnosis so that there will not be any further complication . Doctor may order certain test like CT scan , MRI , blood test , audiometery test , rotatory chair test , throat swab test , viral culture test and examination with otoscope to confirm the diagnosis . Doctor may prescribe ant emetic drug , sedatives , antibiotics ( amoxicillin or penicillin ) at least for 10 days and some ear aid . For now avoid bending foreword , take steam , drink green tea thrice a day , do warm aline gargles and do light exercises daily .

Hope your concern has been resolved.
