What causes dizziness and off balance feeling after a head trauma?

i was in a severe car accident 4 months ago with head trauma. ive really had no problems other than dizzy spells so the doctor then did an mri and it came back fine. but then today i was standing in a line talking to my aunt and i was talking and all of a sudden all that would come out was mumbles. like i was totaly drunk. my whole body went very limp and i had to sit. it scared me so bad all i couls do was cry cause i knew what i needed to say but couldnt say iyt. this lasted for about 10 minutes then for about 30 minutes after i was stuttering a little and shaking. now i feel ok just like my balance is off a little what could this have possibly been?

Hi!

I read carefully your query.

I think that you have vertiginous disease which may be:
- Central from cerebral disease and to exclude it you should do brain MRI
- Peripheral from middle ear disease (Mennier disease) which excluded with cammertonal proves and Audiogram.
Every diagnosis may treatment but the first by neurologist and the second by otorhinolaringologyst.
I think so that your problem is not related with the accident.

Wish you fast recovery.

My sn in law was attacked by 3 men. He has a big knot on his forhead, 2 black eyes, and a nig knot behind his right ear. He says it feels like there is fluid behind his left eye and he keeps getting dizzy. He went to work and they sent him home because when he leaned over, he fell. When I check the dilation of his eyes, his pupils are tiny but when I shine the light in them, they get bigger. With the light in his eyes, they are about the normal size but when I take away light, they are constricted again. He has no insurance and 4 kids. Cant get him to the doctor. Is this common or do we need to be worried? This happened 3 days ago. The 2nd day is when he tried to return to work and fell.

My son has been large since in utero. He is now 20 months, 35.5 inches long, 38.5 pounds and has a 20 head. I went to a new pediatrician yesterday to try to get speech therapy for him as he only says 2 words and just two weeks ago had ear tubes and can just now pass a hearing test. The new pediatrician is concerned about his size and referred me to a geneticist. The only thing I can figure out she is concerned about is Sotos Syndrome. He doesn t have any of the physical characteristics but I m still scared-he has low tone and was late to crawl and walk and has a speech delay. My family is full (on both sides) of men from 6 2 to 6 8. Should I be worried?

My father had a stroke last Jan. he is flying back from the Philippines to New York this June (16 hr flight). Is is safe? i was told that there is a very high risk that he may have another stroke while or right after the trip. i was told that he may never return to NY because of his condition. He can walk with assistance. No paralysis. He just manifests symptoms of both Werneckis and Brocas aphasia. Would appreciate your advice
