I feel as though im on a boat. sometimes worse than other times. Lose balance easily. A few times i could not stand up because i would tip over. Tried again and fell and hit forehead on dresser. Huge gash on head. Had to sit on floor and crawl back into bed.
You are suffering from severe vertigo. You should get yourself checked as soon as possible. The cause of vertigo has to be ascertained to treat you properly. Sometimes vertigo may happen due to migraine, labyrinthitis, Meniere's disease etcetera. It can be diagnosed by proper physical examination.
Your physician may do a simple table tilt test to determine whether it is benign positional vertigo. He may also refer you to an ENT to diagnose any defect in the inner ear. Vertigo can be managed with the help of medicines. Meanwhile, you should take care and make sure that you are always accompanied by someone to prevent you from injuries.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Nazma.amman
