Ophthalmologist 's  Response
Your condition is most consistent with a diagnosis of intermittent exotropia. This is a fairly common condition and can be easily tackled in the eaely stages. Since your symptoms are only intermittent, you will need to get your eyes checked for any uncorrected refractive errors (mainly myopia). Also a few fusional exercises likepencil pushups twixe a day for a month should help resolve your symptoms.

Ophthalmologist Dr. Ashok Kumar Dash's  Response
Refraction should be done and if detected it should be corrected. Cover test should be done. There may be deviation so it can be isometropia which can be corrected. Ocular muscle function should be tested. If you are bellow 9 years of age then diplopia can be corrected by surgery or it will be cosmatic correction. That means you have developed squint.
