What Causes Dizziness After Using Doxazosin 2 Mg?

I have been prescribed doxazosin 2 mg two days ago, for high blood pressure. This morning, the first morning after the initial dose I felt a little dizzy, which seems to be a common initial side effect. This evening I have diarrhea - is this normal and will it get better?

I understand very well the symptoms you are describing in your query.
Yes these symptoms are between common side effects of doxazosin.
It may cause you dizziness, fainting, abdominal discomfort, nausea or diarrhea.

In fact it is not prescribed too often in my clinic practice. If you can't tolerate it you have not to continue taking that medication. There are much more possibilities for treating High Blood Pressure.

I would recommend you Enalapril, to control your blood pressure. It is effective and has not such side effects.
