What Causes Dizziness After Receiving A Flu Shot?

Hi, I am a 66 year old black female and I received my annual flu shot 2 days ago. At first my upper arm was very sore for a day and a half and then weakness set in. This morning I woke up feeling dizzy. Here is after 5 pm EST and I am still dizzy. Could this be a side effect from the shot. I get my flu vaccine every year but never have had a reaction afterwards.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

No, these are not side effects from flu shot. In my opinion, you should definitely consult doctor and get done blood pressure monitoring, clinical examination and blood reports to find out cause. Flu vaccine related side effects are unlikely in your case.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
