What causes dizziness after a head injury?

About a week ago my husband passed out and hit his head, he had a big knot over his left eye the size of a golf ball. Since then he has dissy spells. Yesterday he passed out and fell to the floor, for. About 10 minutes. I thought he was just stretching his back as he has 5 herniated discs. When he came to he was trying to figure out how he got on the floor. We know he has afib also. I am trying to get him to see his doctor. Could this be serious.

Thanks for using HealthcareMagic

It would be best, as you stated, to have him assessed by his doctor.

Loss of consciousness, especially with repeat episodes, needs investigation.

It is possible that it is related to the atrial fibrillation but other causes would need to be ruled out as well.

I hope this helps.
