I am a 59 year old female dx with dilated cardiomyopathy 6 years ago. I had symptoms for 5 years prior to this with misdiagnosis after seeing many doctors. I am on Coreg, Lanoxin, Vasotec, Aldactone, Provachol and aspirin with Lasix PRN along with various supplements as approved by my cardio. My ejection fraction via echo is 20 to 25 but with MUGA, it is 45%. I have remained somewhat stable for the last 5 years. My main symptom is fatigue. Why is there such a discrepancy between my EF% with the echo and the MUGA? And which one is more reliable???
Thanks, Faye
