What Causes Discomfort Near Rectum When Suffering From IBS?

Hi, I have IBS with occasional constipation, the past couple of days I have had mucus and small amounts of blood on the toilet papper when I wipe, sometimes I actually have a bowl movement sometimes I dont, I feel as though i need to have a bowl movement but dont, some discomfert near my rectum, and foul smelling stools, I have been on cold medication and antibiotics for an upper resperitory infection, I am wondering if the medications could be a reason for my discomfert.
