What Causes Discomfort In The Fingers While On Losartan?

My blood pressure increased to 188/101. My doctor put me on 50 mg of Losartan, then increased it to another 50mg. My blood pressure has come down but I have noticed that after taking the medication in the morning, my fingers turn very cold and I sort of feel weird. By the afternoon, i begin to feel a lot better. He also has me 5 mg of Amlodipine which i take at bedtime. My question is why am I experiencing this so call weird feeling which go away with time

Hello,

Thanks for writing to Health Care magic, I am Dr , Muhammad Ahmad , I have read your question closely, I understand your concern and will be helping you with your health related problem.

This is common in people who start on ARBs , this is a very common side effect, it is simple to deal with it take amlodipin in morning and Lostartan at night this will relieve the sudden hypo tension symptoms you are having and you are expected to improve greatly by doing just this little change in schedule of taking your medication.

I hope this answered your question, If you have more queries I am happy to answer you.
Regards.

Dr.Muhammad Ahmad
