Hi, I'm 23. My doctor noticed that my lung capacity is below the normal, and it appears to be some sort of allergy (he said there was an "asthma component"). For this reason, I was given a Buventol EasyHaler (salbutamol) inhaler which I was supposed to use each day for a month (it's been nearly a month now). However, in the last four days, I've been feeling a constant discomfort in my chest. I don't have a word to describe this feeling. It's not painful. I think I feel it more when breathing out than breathing in. It feels like it comes from somewhere behind where the clavicles meet, at the base of the throat (but not from the throat itself). On the first morning that I had this sensation, I was also feeling nauseous (it was after having one cold glass of apple juice). I've been taking dietary supplements (1 pill a day), and occasionally allergy pills (Cetirizin Hexal).
What is this feeling? I am worried, because so many websites list chest discomfort as an emergency, but I don't want to call a false alarm if this is something else. I have an appointment with the house doctor in about 35 hours; should I wait for the appointment, or call an emergency?
