What Causes Discomfort At The Back Of The Ear In A Child?
my 11 year old daughter found a hard Prominence on her back bone of her ear, this morning. it is not painful unless she touch or press it. We are really worry and don t know what should we do! for sure we will go to Dr tomorrow morning but does it need urgent care? and what is it ? she doesn t have any fever or feeling sick. No infection at all by now. what can i do to help her?
Understanding your concern. As per your query your child have symptoms of hard prominence at back of ear which could be because mastoiditis, sebaceous cyst and it could be due to inflammation of lymph nodes leading to lymphadenopathy.
Need not to worry as it is mainly harmless. I would suggest you to visit ENT specialist once and get it examined. Avoid excessive use of mobile and chewing anything hard from that side. Avoid pricking that with any sharp object. After proper inspection you can go for medicinal as well as surgical treatment.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
