What Causes Discomfort Around The Belly Button?

I have discomfort around belly button. I m male and 58rs old. I ve probably put on weight and I seem to remember my belly button being an innie , now an outie . This is the 2nd occurrence within last year. I m taking it easy, should I go to a doc or see if it disappears as it did last time?

more history needed. do you have diarrhea? vomiting? blood in stool ? are you anemic?
anyhow, as you more than 68 and/or if your anemic or have blood in stool then better to visit a gastroenterologist asap. he may advice blood test and endoscopy, if required.

meanwhile
loose weight if over weight
you may add fiber in diet
eat fruits
avoid junk food and oil rich food
you may take esomeprazole 40mg once daily before breakfast and observe if it helps.
