What causes disability and discomfort of knee?

i ha da knee replacement 4yrs ago,follow up surgery 2years ago,i keep going to the doctors as i suffer so much with pain,i am unsteady walking,sit down i can barly move when i stand . i have been perscribed pain killer patches and paracetamol. i had a second oppinion,check the fluid removed from knee as no infection nothing they could do, just been told i am disable with this knee but the pain and discomfort getting too much to bare what do you advise
