Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I am Pravesh Singh from India.I have some problem while urinating.I went to Doctor and he asked me to do culture sensitive test.In that test no growth was detected when urine sample was incubated for 48 hrs at 37 C temp. But Pus cell was (3-4)/hpf and Epithelial cell was found to be (4-5)/hpf.He gave me medicine for 7 day.But i am not recovered yet what to do now? He prescribed me Urisol and GeriStart.
Difficulty in urinating can be related to some causes in men:
- enlarged prostate, or prostatitis,
- urinary tract infection,
- neurological or muscular conditions that affect the function of the bladder,
- bladder stones,
- and some medication.
Considering the fact that your urine analysis doesn't indicate an infection, I suggest you to:
- Continue taking Geristart.
- Consult a urologist, perform an abdominal ultrasound, and also PSA analysis to rule out other causes.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Suela Gjata,
General & Family Physician
