What Causes Difficulty In Conceiving?

Hi. I have been trying to conceive for 7 months. I have taken the clear blue ovulation tests the last two months. Both times they have shown my peak about a week after the last day of my period. I have taken a test the past 6 days. Test 1 and 2 show peak, test 3,4, and 5 were low and test 6 (today) shows high fertility. Is it possible that I will ovulate for a second time this month?

Hello,

In a woman who has regular ovulations, it occurs approximately and consistently 14 days before the next menstrual period. For clarity, the first day of menstruation is Day 1 of a cycle. If you have a 28 day cycle, ovulation will happen around day 14, and almost always between days 12 and 16. I recommend having intercourse every day or every other day during that period of time. For some, this is a more accurate and less stressful way than taking ovulation detector tests.

Also, the thinner and more copious the mucus is that comes from the vagina daily, the more likely that ovulation is occurring. It's best to have intercourse slightly before ovulation. The egg lasts for about 24 hours, while sperm can last in the female's reproductive tract for 2-3 days. If you still have not conceived after 1 year, then it is time to go in to see a doctor. But anything you can do to lower stress and not stress about it may be helpful.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
