Okay so I know this is a really gross question but I’m starting to worry a bit… My bowl movements have not been normal at all, okay first off I know I shouldn’t have done this but I overdosed on a bunch of heart pills “amoxicillin” and some other pills I don’t know the names to and ever since that –witch was on February 16- my stool has not been normal my stool went from –normal- to- diarrhea- and today it was really really dark yellow and light yellow /brown fluids and my stool was a mix between diarrhea and bowl movements that were gray/ light light brown with dark borwn spots on them. I know I shouldn’t have taken the pills and it was wrong of me but I was wondering if I should be worried about my bowl movements at all?
It is a side effect of amoxicillin altering gut flora mechanics. Primary guidelines to recover early - Drink more liquids. - Consume light, bland diet. - Avoid spices, non-veg stuff. - Add fresh yogurt in the diet. - Intake of probiotics with lactobacillus requires prescription with your doctor. - Do not panic, it is a reversible effect.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
