What Causes Diarrhea And Abdominal Pain While Suffering From IBS?

I have mild IBS but as of frequently every time I eat cabbage, even small amounts I get one or two very painful bouts of diarrhea. Chrones disease is very predominant in my family ( father and brother) I was wondering why this happens to.me and if it could.be a sign of bowel scaring
