What Causes Diarrhea After Giving Ondansetron And Enterogermina To Child?
Hi, My 2 year old son was vomitting his food. Paediatrician had prescribed ondansetron (1-1-1), enterogermina 5ml oral suspension (1-0-1) and zinconia syrup 2.5 ml (1-0-1). Now my son has stopped vomitting but he had started passing loose watery motion. Is that a concern.

Understanding your concern. As per your query your son have symptoms of diarrhea with watery loose motions. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like viral gastroenteritis, lactose intolerance, bacterial gastroenteritis, food allergies, giardiasis or irritable bowel syndrome. Need not to worry. You should try small amounts of mild foods such as rice, applesauce and do not take foods or drinks caffeine , carbonated beverages , citrus and dairy products. You should avoid solid foods for a few hours. I would suggest you to consult gastroenterologist for proper examination. Doctor my order test like stool test , endoscopy , ultrasound and take history. Doctor may prescribe omeprazole , ornidazole , albendazole , laxative along with antiemetic drug . For now eat light and non spicy food. You should take antacid after every meal and take light walk after every meal.
