What Causes Depression When On Duromine?

Hi I have been taking duromine for 2weeks & am feeling really depressed I take antidepressants Lovan I was feeling really good until I started taking these How long does it take to get out of my system I stopped taking them yesterday & will my antidepressant kick back in

Hello! Duromine is actually Phentermine, which is used as a diet pill (appetite supressant), it is similar to the drug amphetamine, hence it actually causes mood elation, euphoria, restlessness and nervousness with other systemic symptoms rather than depression. The depression that you are having now is probably not related to Duramine. Lovan is Fluoxetine (SSRI) taking phentermine along with an SSRI increases the risk of serotonin syndrome, hence it is contraindicated in patients who are on SSRI's.
